For more traffic optimize the landing page

Traffic is one of the key parameter to gauge the success of a site. Especially when Adwords are involved, more traffic means more returns. The easiest way to increase traffic in Adwords is to increase the keyword bidding or increase the daily budget. But this is a costly methodology. Increasing the Quality Score of the landing page is one of the time consuming job but definitely the most economical way to increase traffic. Because optimizing the landing page for a better quality score helps the Ads to be positioned in a higher position. Higher the position, more the Clicks and hence more traffic, ultimately resulting in more returns. Want to know how to optimize the landing page? Stay tuned for my next blog ….

e-books from Google? Will it succeed?

Google is planning for a venture, by which the users would be able to download books in a format that could be read in computer or mobile devices.  This it touted to be something similar to what Apple iPod had done for music.  The competitions from Sony and Amazon would make Google to work hard.  Also the fluctuating relationship between Google and the publishing industry makes it worse.  But you never know what would be end result, because it’s Gooooooogle!

Google Custom Search Engine for searching SEO & SEM Forums

Barry Schwartz of Search Engine Land made a mention of the Google Custom Search Engine which he has created for searching SEO & SEM Forums. And MarkZZ claimed the idea to be his own.

I claim this idea as our own, having created a Google CSE a month or so ago, doing exactly the same thing!

This is what I had to say to MarkZZ.

Hi MarkZZ,

What would you say for the similar service (SEOLens) which we had launched more than 3 months ago? Find below the announcement made on Nov 17 2006 :

We also provide an option to add this search as a gadget in the user’s Google home page.

For blogging, WordPress is one of the most widely used tool. Here I have listed the top 3 plugins which can help in your search engine optimization efforts.

1.Ultimate Tag Warrior 3

It allows you to add tags either through the Write Post page in wordpress in a tag box, on posts using an AJAXy box, and in posts using special syntax from external editors (or internally, if you’d like). Internet and Media in 2015

Pandia published an article - The merger of Internet and media, which provided foresights about search evolving as the media in a few years time. Following is an excerpt from the article.
Within few years time, it would be made possible to view anything anywhere. As a result people would be able to view contents literally everywhere and hence Internet would be available everywhere.

Microsoft would be leader in the home based gadgets and Apple would be the leader in the hand held devices. As a result, the MacOS would be the only OS available, mainly due to iPod.

Then many TV programs and movies would contain close captioning (hidden text) in the local language or their subtitles in foreign languages, which the search engines would make use for indexing the content.
Since high-speed broadband would be part of the life, nobody would want to have a copy with them. Just incase of any requirement, they can download in a lightning speed.

Yahoo and Microsoft tie the knot

Pandia published an article - The search engine scene in 2015, which predicts the future trends and landscape of search engine.  Following is an excerpts from the article.
By the year 2007 Google buys Mangolia and Simply.  Microsoft buys Yahoo in the year 2008 and decides to keep Yahoo search engine and discontinues Windows Live Search.  By the year 2009 Microsoft team of search engineers becomes part of Yahoo! Search team.  And MyWeb and del.icio.us got merged into Yahoo!

Google continues it’s success with its online office offerings.  Google introduces Gdrive by year 2007, Google Presentations by 2008, Google Podcaster in 2009 and Google Image and Video editor in 2010.
India becomes so popular that the Webmaster World conference for the year 2010 is held at New Delhi, the Capital of India.

Around 2009 Linux PCs becomes default, which loads with a free version of the Firefox or Opera browsers, with all the Google services opened in new tabs.  And by 2011, PC becomes obsolete.
