Is Microsoft safe to partner with on the SaaS front?

Microsoft has developed the Microsoft SaaS On-Ramp Program to help ISVs go to market with a SaaS Application quickly and cost-efficiently.
Requirements for this Program are :

  • The maximum configuration to be licensed at the special price is eight (8) Windows Server CPUs and two (2) SQL Server CPUs.
  • Participating ISV must own the intellectual property of the SaaS application.
  • Participating ISV must hold a signed Microsoft Services Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA). After signing up for the program, Microsoft will contact you with more information on the SPLA.
  • Participating ISV must be a registered member of the Microsoft Partner Program.

Now the big question is - Is Microsoft safe to partner with on the SaaS front?
